Etymology

From Greek 'kakistos' (worst), superlative of 'kakos' (bad) + '-kratia' (rule, power). The opposite of 'aristokratia' (rule by the best). 'Kakos' also appears in 'cacophony' (bad sound) and 'cacoethes' (bad habit).
